Ballet Taos

Ballet Taos is a dance studio and training academy in Taos centered on serious classical ballet instruction. Its program is built on an eight-year syllabus based on the Vaganova system, with rigorous, developmentally aligned training that emphasizes strength, placement, alignment, artistic growth, and exploration. The studio supports students preparing for collegiate study, professional dance careers, auditions, and elite ballet competitions through private coaching and demanding performance opportunities. Ballet Taos also connects training with stage experience through its Apprentice Program, which allows young artists to rehearse and perform with the Ballet Taos Company, an ensemble of advanced and adult dancers focused on collaborative, innovative work. In addition to its academy and performance activities, Ballet Taos Outreach brings dance education and creative engagement into schools and community spaces across Taos.
