This Cookie Policy explains how Nusu Inc. ("Company", "we", "us", and "our") uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize you when you visit our website at nusu.ai ("Website"). It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them.
Nusu uses first-party cookies for essential operation and to remember a visitor's analytics choice. Eligible analytics uses browser local storage rather than an analytics cookie. Route-specific third-party services, including Google Maps and Stripe, may set or access their own cookies when their embedded or hosted experiences load. Nusu does not use these technologies for advertising or cross-context behavioral tracking.
Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.
Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, Nusu Inc.) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies." Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g., advertising, interactive content, and analytics). The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognize your computer both when it visits the website in question and also when it visits certain other websites.
We use our own cookies to keep the Website operating, maintain session security, and remember whether a visitor allowed or declined product analytics. We do not set analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies. When product analytics is eligible, Mixpanel uses local storage to maintain an anonymous browser identity.
Route-specific third-party services may use their own cookies or similar technologies. For example, Google Maps may do so when a map-enabled section approaches the viewport, and Stripe may do so when you enter a hosted payment or identity-verification experience.
All visitors can allow or decline optional Mixpanel product analytics. It stays off until you select "Allow analytics". Open Privacy choices at any time to change your decision. A Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal keeps optional analytics off. A saved account decline also blocks analytics in other signed-in browsers when their permission is checked; an allowance does not transfer to a new browser. Essential services and security remain available. Route-specific third-party cookies are controlled through the provider and your browser settings.
You can still manage cookies through your web browser controls. If you block essential cookies, some functionality (such as staying signed in) will not work as expected. Blocking third-party cookies may limit maps, payment, or identity verification experiences.
The specific types of cookies used through our Website are described below.
These cookies are strictly necessary for the Website to function and cannot be disabled.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__Secure-better-auth.session_token* | Nusu / Better Auth | Maintains authenticated sessions and protects access to account features | Up to 30 days (rolling) |
sidebar_state | Nusu | Remembers whether the signed-in sidebar is expanded or collapsed | 7 days |
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
nusu_analytics_consent | Nusu | Remembers whether a visitor allowed or declined Mixpanel product analytics | 1 year |
In addition to cookies, we use browser local storage for functional purposes. These entries live in your browser's storage rather than the cookie jar.
| Storage Key | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
nusu_launch_subscribed | Nusu | Remembers that you already subscribed to launch updates so we do not prompt you again unnecessarily | Until cleared by the browser or site data reset |
nusu_user_location | Nusu | Stores cached city, region, or coordinates to improve location-aware search and "near me" experiences | 30 days from the last location save; refreshed when your location is re-resolved |
__mp_opt_in_out_* | Mixpanel | Stores the SDK opt-in or opt-out state | Until browser site data is cleared |
mp_*_mixpanel | Mixpanel | Maintains a random anonymous analytics identity and related SDK state when product analytics is eligible | Until cleared by the browser, site data reset, Nusu identity reset, or withdrawal |
Mixpanel receives explicit page, account, session, claim, trial, and paid subscription events, along with country and region when known. Nusu disables Mixpanel's IP-derived geolocation, automatic capture, automatic page views, automatic URL, referrer, and marketing-query properties, and session recording. Explicit page events contain only the pathname and are not sent on authentication, sign-in, onboarding, invite, or unsubscribe routes. A direct browser request still exposes source network metadata to Mixpanel as the network recipient. Nusu retains product-analytics records for up to 13 months.
Vercel Speed Insights measures page performance separately from Mixpanel. Vercel describes these measurements as anonymous and not linked across browsing sessions. Nusu removes query strings and fragments, uses route templates when available, and suppresses authentication, onboarding, invite, and unsubscribe routes before sending measurements. Speed Insights does not depend on the Mixpanel preference. See Vercel's privacy documentation.
These cookies may be set only when you load the relevant route or hosted experience. They are managed by the respective third party and are essential to the functionality of that route.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|

In runtimes where the secure prefix cannot be used, this cookie may appear as better-auth.session_token.
Note: The exact technologies used may change as we update our services or third-party integrations. Development-only cookies, localhost scanner artifacts, and browser-extension storage are not included in this notice.
As the means by which you can refuse cookies through your web browser controls vary from browser to browser, you should visit your browser's help menu for more information. The following is information about how to manage cookies on the most popular browsers:
