Kim Quang Temple is a Vietnamese Buddhist temple in Sacramento and the oldest Vietnamese Buddhist temple in the city, established in 1978 by the local Vietnamese Buddhist community. The temple serves as a place of worship and spiritual practice, supporting the Vietnamese Buddhist tradition, values, and heritage while promoting loving-kindness, non-violence, mindfulness, and the five precepts. It also maintains Vietnamese cultural traditions in harmony with American culture. Services are held in the main Buddha Hall, and the temple is home to the Kim Quang Buddhist Youth Association, which offers Dharma and Vietnamese classes for youth ages 6 to 18 on Saturday mornings.
