Buddhist Church of Florin

Buddhist Church of Florin is a Shin, or True Pure Land, Buddhist temple in Sacramento, California, affiliated with the Buddhist Churches of America. Its mission is to share the wisdom and compassion of Buddhist teachings and practice with the greater community. The church offers religious education and youth-oriented learning on topics including meditation, etiquette, Buddhist history, ethical values, family relationships, lifelong education, self-esteem, cultural arts, and comparative religions. It also provides traditional services such as Makura-gyo, a short bedside service following death, and supports preservation efforts through its 100th Anniversary Church Preservation Project.
