Brooklyn Heights Synagogue is a progressive Reform Jewish congregation in Brooklyn affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism. The lay-led community is governed by a Board of Trustees and Executive Committee and includes more than 500 member units of families, couples, and singles from Brooklyn, Lower Manhattan, and other New York City neighborhoods. The synagogue offers a full calendar of worship services, education programs, special events, adult learning, and opportunities for Tikkun Olam. It has also maintained a winter homeless shelter for more than 40 years as a founding member of the New York City Emergency Shelter Network.
