Detroit Martial Arts Institute is a martial arts school in Detroit with a 7,500-square-foot facility that is among the largest martial arts dojos in the city. Founded in 2004 by Grand Masters George Reynolds and Eugene Woods, the institute provides instruction for kids, teens, adults, and students with special needs, with an emphasis on commitment, self-esteem, discipline, and physical fitness. The institute also operates a 3,000-square-foot after-school program, offers licensed after-school programming during the school year, summer camps, and serves as a meet-up and meal location for children. It also supports children with autism and ADHD in working through social deficits.
