Christ Church is an Episcopal parish in New Haven, Connecticut, part of The Episcopal Church in Connecticut, The Episcopal Church, and the worldwide Anglican Communion. The church regularly administers Baptism during Sunday Mass and offers confirmation or reception into the Episcopal Church, sacramental confession, weddings, and funeral rites. Its building is recognized as one of architect Henry Vaughan's masterworks and as an important example of Gothic Revival church design in the United States. Historically, church deaconesses served the sacristy, church school children, and poor and orphaned residents of New Haven.
