Bet Tikvah is an independent, queer-centric Jewish congregation in Pittsburgh established in 1988. Built around a commitment to spiritual life and full welcome, it serves gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender Jews while inviting anyone who wishes to join in worship and community life. The congregation includes more than 40 memberships, encompassing families of many different compositions, and offers regular worship such as First Friday services along with seasonal observances including seder gatherings.
