1989 Pole

1989 Pole is a movement studio in Wichita Falls that combines pole fitness, dance training, and performance culture. Its program centers on pole dance, belly dance, and flexibility, with instruction that integrates technique, conditioning, safety, body awareness, and creative expression. The studio also hosts private celebrations, bachelorette parties, and special events. Belly dance is a significant part of its identity through Mona’s Desert Dreamers, a troupe that has performed locally and is being rebooted as Falls Dolls. Teaching is informed by certified fitness instruction and training in Cleo’s Rock N Pole, Liquid Motion, and Xpert methods, while the studio openly acknowledges pole’s roots in stripping as part of the form’s lineage.
