The organization was born out of a clear need. When Maureen Turner moved to Vermont in 2006, Linda Thomson was the only Approved Consultant in Clinical Hypnosis in the state—and Maureen soon became the second. Seeing how few clinicians in the region were trained in hypnosis, the two joined forces and founded Hypnovations in 2009.

In the years since, Hypnovations has sponsored more than a dozen Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced clinical hypnosis workshops, along with individualized consultation for health and mental health care professionals throughout Vermont—steadily growing the community of skilled practitioners across the state.
