Karuna Buddhist Center, also known as Karma Shenphen Nyingtse Ling, is a Buddhist center in Ann Arbor focused on the study and practice of the Buddha’s teachings in a way intended to be accessible in modern America while maintaining authentic lineage. Rooted in the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism and embracing a nonsectarian approach, the center offers an open, supportive environment for spiritual exploration, Buddhist practice, and guidance for both traditional and secular spiritual interests. The center is guided by Khenpo Tshering Chophel and Lama Nancy Burks.
