Kumbum Chamtse Ling Monastery is part of the Tibetan Mongolian Buddhist Cultural Center in Bloomington, Indiana. Established in 1979 by Indiana University Professor Emeritus Thubten J. Norbu, the center is dedicated to the people of Tibet and to helping acquaint visitors with Tibetan history and culture while supporting Tibetans worldwide. Set on 90 acres south of town, it offers a peaceful setting for meditation and reflection and hosts workshops, teachings, seminars, initiations, retreats, and ceremonies connected to Tibetan exile communities and Mongolian communities.
