Dr. Brian Loveless, DO, is a distinguished osteopathic physician with over 20 years of experience integrating the principles of osteopathic medicine into a wide range of clinical settings, including inpatient, outpatient, hospice, and urgent care. He focuses on the relationship between the musculoskeletal system and the body's other systems, using osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) to enhance patient outcomes. His dedication to this approach has led him to present at both state and national conferences on the use of OMT in hospital settings, and to contribute as a co-author of the latest edition of Foundations of Osteopathic Medicine, where he helped write a chapter on the role of the NMM/OMM specialist in the inpatient setting.
Dr. Loveless is also an active contributor to research in his field. He currently serves as principal investigator for the ongoing "Lymphatic OMT Protocol for Healthy Individuals: A Crossover Self-Controlled Clinical Trial," a follow-up to a COVID-19 mRNA vaccine OMT trial in which he served as co-investigator. His published work includes research on using OMT to manage recurrent mastitis, as well as advocacy for integrating OMT into broader medical practice and education—emphasizing its potential to improve patient care across many settings.
Throughout his career, Dr. Loveless has earned numerous honors recognizing his excellence and dedication, including being named American Osteopathic Foundation Physician of the Year (2018), CVMC Family Medicine Residency Faculty of the Year (2014), OPSC Most Valuable Physician (2013), and OPSC Rookie of the Year (2009). His early distinctions include serving as Associate Chief Resident at Chino Valley Medical Center and receiving the COMP OMM Department Award for his dedication to osteopathic principles.
