Christ's Church of the Valley is a non-denominational Christian church in Bakersfield, California. The congregation began in the early 1940s as a First Christian Church mission Sunday School meeting in the Brooks home, formally organized in May 1948 as Community Christian Church, and was renamed Rexland Christian Church in November 1952. Its history includes early growth at Rexland Drive and Garber Way, the construction of a Quonset hut in 1948, and expanded facilities for classrooms and a parsonage during the 1950s.
