Academy of Okinawan Karate is a Peoria martial arts school centered on Shuri-ryū karate and the belief that training develops discipline, self-control, and character as much as physical skill. With roots in a longstanding local presence and a continuous Knoxville Avenue location since 1995, the school combines demanding instruction with a strong sense of tradition and lineage. Over the years it has taught thousands of students, produced more than 50 black belts and 18 World Karate Champions, and maintained a focus on disciplined practice as a lifelong education.
