Dojo of the Risen Son

Dojo of the Risen Son is a martial arts school in Kalamazoo, Michigan, that teaches self-defense from a biblical perspective. Its program emphasizes Christian values including respect, humility, perseverance, self-control, honesty, and confidence while teaching defensive techniques using the hands and feet for students of any age, size, or gender. The dojo was founded by Kaiso Spohn, who began his martial arts training in 1982 and holds master-level black belt rankings in multiple disciplines.
