Congregation Mickve Israel is a historic Reform Jewish synagogue in Savannah, Georgia, founded in 1733. Affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism, it is an active and welcoming congregation that practices both contemporary/mainstream and classical worship while honoring its long history. Its sanctuary, completed in 1878 in a distinctive Gothic style, has been recognized by Condé Nast Traveler as one of the 15 most beautiful synagogues in the world. The congregation also participates in Savannah’s Historic Houses of Worship events.
