Highlands Ballet is a civic dance organization in Abingdon, Virginia, with more than 25 years of offering cultural, educational, and entertaining programs to communities in Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee. Its mission is to nurture, support, and inspire young dancers in a wholesome, friendly atmosphere. Through Highlands Center for Ballet Arts, its feeder school, the organization provides training and a yearly recital in a professional production format, while Highlands Ballet Company offers advanced students and potential professional dancers additional performing and showcase opportunities, including regional festivals, community events, and local civic performances.
