Congregation B'nai Israel is a Reform Jewish congregation in Little Rock, Arkansas, with roots dating to its first temple dedication in 1872. The congregation dedicated a new temple in downtown Little Rock in 1897 and remained there for more than 70 years. A longstanding member of the Union for Reform Judaism, the congregation brings together descendants of its founders and newer members in support of its mission. Its history is closely tied to Central Arkansas, including an important role in the Civil Rights Movement and the desegregation of Central High School.
