Dr. Dan O. Ioanitescu, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist who has been practicing since 2012. Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, he brings extensive training and a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to the care of those navigating mental health concerns.
Dr. Ioanitescu completed both his undergraduate education and medical degree at the University of Timisoara in Romania before pursuing advanced training in the United States. He completed his internship and residency at Harvard South Shore Psychiatry in Brockton, MA, and went on to complete an impressive series of fellowships—including Psychiatry in Primary Care at the West Roxbury VAMC, Medical Psychiatry Consultation Liaison at Brigham and Women's Hospital, training in Psychoanalysis at the Boston Psychoanalytical Institute, and a position as Clinical Fellow in Psychiatry at Harvard University.
