Helena Aikido Dojo is a martial arts school in Helena, Montana, dedicated to the study of aikido in a healthy learning environment. Its mission is to cultivate and nurture aikido for all who seek to study. The dojo teaches aikido as a living martial art characterized by non-resistance and reconciliation, using refined flowing movements to mediate physical conflict in non-harmful ways. Helena Aikido is affiliated with Kumano Jyuku Aikido (Aikikai) in Shingu, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. Aikido in Helena was originally founded by Whitney Hibbard and Samantha Schroeder in 1988.
