Diane Domondon’s practice is grounded in Usui Shiki Ryoho, the Usui Method of Natural Healing, with work that encompasses both individual Reiki sessions and formal instruction within that tradition. The emphasis is not simply on Reiki as a general wellness modality, but on a clearly identified lineage and a disciplined approach to its transmission and practice. That lineage is treated as an essential part of the work itself.
The practice recognizes the historical transmission associated with Mikao Usui and the teachers who carried the method forward through successive generations, including Chujiro Hayashi, Hawayo Takata, Phyllis Furumoto, and Johannes Reindl. This gives the practice a distinctly traditional orientation, rooted in continuity, method, and respect for the form in which Usui Shiki Ryoho has been handed down. Alongside client sessions, instruction is a central part of the business.
Training includes First Degree and Second Degree Reiki courses, each presented as a two-day program. These classes are held in the Greenwich Village office, creating an in-person setting for students seeking structured study within the Usui Shiki Ryoho framework. The overall character of the practice is one of lineage-based Reiki offered with clarity and seriousness of purpose: hands-on sessions for clients, and formal education for students, both anchored in the same established method of natural healing.
