American School of Martial Arts is a long-established martial arts school in Burbank with roots dating to 1964, when Grandmaster Suh, Young-ik founded the school in the city. Originally teaching in an unused car dealership hangar, the school later moved into a permanent Burbank location and, in the early 2000s, was relocated by Grandmaster Baird to a larger facility where it remains. Its history reflects decades of continuity, experienced leadership, community engagement, and a sustained commitment to training martial artists in the city where it began.
