BMC, also known as Buddha Mountain Center, is a Buddhist temple in Roanoke rooted in a Vietnamese Buddhist lineage and guided by senior monk Thầy Chúc Độ. The temple has offered Vietnamese-language Buddhist services for the past six years and, beginning April 14, 2024, expanded its communal life with English-language services. Its gatherings center on sitting meditation, chanting, a spiritual message, and open discussion, reflecting a practice grounded in tradition while welcoming broader participation. The center also plans to introduce Buddhist education classes, supporting deeper study alongside regular worship and shared reflection.
