Barefoot Yoga Studio Woodland is a yoga studio centered on yoga as an integrative practice that extends beyond exercise. Its teaching emphasizes physical training, recovery, healing, flexibility, strength, and resilience, while also honoring the mental and spiritual dimensions of practice. The studio’s culture is shaped by teachers who view yoga as a form of ongoing learning and embodied discovery, with approaches informed by backgrounds in dance, athletic recovery, and trauma-sensitive teaching. Christine Firpo, an E-RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance, teaches from a daily practice grounded in balance, flexibility, and an open heart. Julia Van Horn is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher who completed her 200-hour training at Barefoot Yoga Studio in 2022 and later earned her 300-hour certification as a Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator in 2024. Together, these perspectives create a studio environment rooted in generosity, curiosity, and support for well-being on and off the mat.
