Incorporated in Arizona on November 12, 1998, and recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization, it was established around the conviction that Islam is a total way of life. Founded with early leadership from Ali Nemer Saad, Hani Rahal, and Ahmad Atriss, the foundation grew beyond its original 2,140-square-foot rental space and purchased property in Tempe on October 10, 2003. Named for the 12th Imam, Mahdi Alaihas Salaam, the foundation reflects an enduring commitment to worship, faith, and community life.
