Chabad of S. Barbara is a Jewish community organization and synagogue in Santa Barbara, California. It promotes Jewish knowledge, awareness, and practice; strengthens Jewish identity; and provides educational, religious, and social services for people of all ages regardless of background or affiliation. Its activities include holiday programs, mikvah appointments through the Chaya Mushka Mikvah, kosher prepared food in Santa Barbara, and Jewish programming connected with Chabad at UCSB, which was founded in Isla Vista in 2003 and grew into a flourishing Jewish center. In 2014, Rabbi Mendel assumed leadership after the passing of his father, Rabbi Yosef Loschak, who founded Chabad of S. Barbara with Devorah Loschak.
