Congregation Shalom Rav is an inclusive, participatory Reconstructionist and Renewal Jewish community in Austin, Texas. The congregation encourages members to take active roles in community and religious life by leading services, sponsoring study groups and workshops, teaching songs, and hosting celebrations. It holds a traditional, lively Friday evening Shabbat service on the first Friday of each month, along with services and observances for annual holy days including Sukkot, Hoshana Raba, Simchat Torah, Hanukkah, Tu B’Shvat, Purim, Passover, Shavuot, and the High Holiday Sing in the fall.
