Community Action of Skagit County is an organization focused on ending poverty in Skagit County. Its mission is to break the cycle of poverty, and its vision is a community in which everyone works together to end poverty in the county. The organization operates resource centers in Mount Vernon, Burlington, and Anacortes, follows a 2026–2028 strategic plan, and maintains Title VI and ADA customer complaint processes. Community Action reports that roughly two-thirds of its resources are directed toward goal-oriented interventions rather than one-time help, and it also recruits employees who are skilled, dedicated, and motivated to make a difference.
