Banbury School of Dance

Founded in 1967 by Suzanne Banbury, Banbury School of Dance is a Houston dance school centered on disciplined classical ballet instruction for young students. The school emphasizes sound fundamentals, healthy physical development, and the broader educational value of dance, including fitness, poise, coordination, mental alertness, and self-command. Instruction is matched to each child’s age and previous dance experience, and both dance rooms feature raised maple and oak floors designed to reduce stress on legs, feet, and joints during training. The school also offers day programming with snacks and beverages, with students bringing their own lunch.
