Elm Street Christian Church is an independent Christian church in Springfield, Illinois. The congregation describes its beliefs as centered on the essentials of Christianity found in the Bible and traces its roots to the Restoration Movement, emphasizing unity among Christians patterned after the New Testament church. The first service of Elm Street Church of Christ was held on November 16, 1958, at Pleasant Hill School, and the first service in the completed church building took place on October 16, 1960.
