Behavioral Health Services provides culturally responsive behavioral health care grounded in dignity, respect, and patient rights. Informed by the communities it serves, including the Gila River Indian Community and other tribal nations, the service emphasizes clear communication, cultural understanding, and serious attention to each patient’s experience. Patient Advocates support patients and families throughout care by helping safeguard patient rights and by serving as interpreters and liaisons with clinical teams so concerns are heard, understood, and addressed. Cultural sensitivity, diversity, and awareness training for employees reinforce an approach in which advocacy, respect, and responsiveness are central to care.
