Baila-Baila Academy-The Arts is a dance school in Albuquerque centered on Ballet Folklorico and the teaching of Mexican folk dance as both an art form and a disciplined practice. The academy offers instruction from early childhood through adulthood, creating an intergenerational environment focused on confidence, poise, health, consistency, and personal growth. Students have opportunities to perform in public and private settings throughout the year, with additional chances to travel and compete. Supported by dancers, teachers, parent volunteers, and public funding from the City of Albuquerque and the State of New Mexico, the academy plays an active role in the region’s cultural community.
