Austin Ecstatic Dance Center is a South Austin movement space centered on recurring ecstatic dance gatherings and embodied practice. Its programming includes the weekly Sunday 2nd Wave, a Wednesday night dance gathering, and Source in Motion, a movement practice described as an exploration of life-force through the body, heart, mind, soul, and spirit. Drawing on the maps of 5Rhythms®, the center presents dance as a communal practice of expression, inquiry, release, and connection rather than a conventional technique-focused class format.
