Brentwood Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is a progressive, open and affirming congregation in Springfield, Missouri. Part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the church is committed to building community, justice, and love, and seeks to foster meaningful relationships in the spirit of Christ’s love. Founded in 1960, Brentwood welcomes people to share beliefs, doubts, joys, and struggles without fear of rejection, and practices an open communion in which anyone who wishes to participate is welcome. The congregation has also formally affirmed LGBTQ+ individuals as fully welcomed and affirmed members of the church community.
