KATMA Defense, the Kombative Academy of Traditional Martial Arts, is a community-focused martial arts and personal safety training provider in Savannah, Georgia. The academy teaches practical self-defense rooted in traditional martial arts through Taekwondo, LAMECO Eskrima, Filipino stick fighting, and women’s self-defense programs. It also offers adaptive self-defense for blind, low-vision, and disabled students, active-shooter-response training, and short-format safety workshops for schools, nonprofits, and corporate teams. Programs are available for children, teens, and adults, with most offerings provided as mobile programs in the Savannah area and a kids Taekwondo program at the Island YMCA.
