Cornerstone Christian Church is an independent Christian church in Montgomery, Alabama. The congregation’s roots trace to the mid-1970s, when the vision for an independent Christian church in Montgomery began. Formerly known as East Montgomery Christian Church, it later became Southeast Christian Church in 1980 and met on Virginia Loop Road before adopting the name Cornerstone Christian Church in 2000. The church has served as a home congregation for many military families stationed at Gunter and Maxwell Air Force Bases.
