Dayton Contemporary Dance Company is a Dayton-based contemporary dance institution that has celebrated African American dance for nearly 60 years. Founded by Dayton native Jeraldyne Blunden, it was created during segregation to provide dance opportunities for African-American youth and has become known for portraying the African American experience through dance.
