Al-Quran Mosque, also known as Masjid Al-Qur’an, is a Boston mosque with roots in the city’s African-American diaspora dating to the early 1940s. It serves as a place of worship and a longstanding community institution focused on serving local residents and deepening awareness of Al-Islam. Over time, its congregation has grown into a diverse cross-section of Boston’s Muslim community, combining historical continuity with an open, shared religious life. Guided by resident Imam Mahdee, the mosque emphasizes service, peace, neighborhood strengthening, and the common good, while also maintaining a welcoming posture toward people of different faiths across greater Boston.
