Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation is an international Buddhist humanitarian organization dedicated to relieving suffering and creating a better world for all. Founded in 1966 in Hualien, Taiwan, by Dharma Master Cheng Yen, the organization works across charity, medicine, education, environmental protection, international relief, and bone marrow donor registry efforts. It also shares Buddhist philosophy and its application to everyday life. The foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
