Chuan Fa Academy

Chuan Fa Academy is a traditional self-defense school in Kansas City's Waldo neighborhood, teaching Kenpo Karate, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and tai chi for kids and adults. Founded in 2013, the academy emphasizes practical self-defense and application technique in a fun, safe, and clean training environment. Owner and lead instructor Chris Hutchings brings 20 years of martial arts training, including 18 years practicing Chinese Kenpo, and continues the Chuan Fa and Chinese martial arts tradition for the next generation.
