Wu Tang PCA is a long-running New York school devoted to Chinese internal martial arts and Taoist meditative practice. Founded by Master Frank Allen in 1979 on the Lower East Side, it has spent more than four decades teaching disciplines that emphasize structure, energy, focus, and internal development rather than brute force alone. Its core training encompasses Ba Gua Zhang, Tai Chi, Xing Yi Quan, Qi Gong, boxing workouts, and Taoist meditation.
That combination places moving meditation alongside martial form and conditioning, creating a practice rooted as much in cultivation and awareness as in technique. The internal systems at the heart of the school carry distinct traditions, yet they are united here by an approach that values disciplined study and sustained personal practice. As a privately owned school, Wu Tang PCA has maintained a clear identity over the years: a place centered on classical Chinese internal arts and the methods that support them.
Qi Gong and meditation sit naturally within that tradition, reinforcing breath, alignment, concentration, and the quieter dimensions of training that underpin the martial work. Its longevity is itself part of its character. Established in 1979 and described as one of the oldest martial arts schools in America, Wu Tang PCA occupies a durable place in New York’s internal martial arts community, with a lineage and curriculum shaped by decades of continuous teaching.
