Chen Bing Taiji Academy USA

On May 22, 2017, the city of Jiaozuo—home to Chen Village—designated Chen Bing Taiji Academy USA as the Birthplace of Tai Chi Promotion Center in the United States. It is described as the only professional academy in the country officially endorsed by Tai Chi’s birthplace, a distinction that underscores its role in transmitting Chen Family Taijiquan with fidelity to its traditional foundations. The academy’s teaching reflects the classical qualities that define the Chen style: the continuous exchange between hardness and softness, fastness and slowness, sturdiness and suppleness.

These shifting energies are not treated as aesthetic contrasts alone, but as expressions of Yin and Yang within the practice itself. Mastery, in this tradition, depends on going beyond external choreography and into the internal principles of the art, including the 25 Secrets of Tai Chi of Chen Family Taijiquan, regarded here as foundational to authenticity. Lineage is equally important.

Chen Bing is identified as the only son of Chen Yonghe, the eldest brother of Grandmasters Chen Xiaowang and Chen Xiaoxing, placing the academy within an unbroken Chen family line. That heritage gives the school a clear sense of responsibility: to preserve and transmit the mother form of Tai Chi with seriousness, depth, and respect for the discipline’s birthplace.
