Bikur Cholim Machzikay Hadath is an Orthodox congregation in Seattle with deep roots in the city’s Jewish community. Its current form emerged after Congregation Bikur Cholim relocated to Seward Park in the early 1960s and later merged with Congregation Machzikay Hadath in 1971, followed by the opening of its new Seward Park building in 1972. Today, BCMH is the largest Ashkenazic Orthodox synagogue in the greater Seattle area, bringing together multigenerational families with newer members in a community shaped by heritage, continuity, and active participation. The congregation is also known for a strong youth program, with year-round activities for infants, children, and teens that make younger members an integral part of synagogue life.
