Agape Metropolitan Community Church is an inclusive Christian congregation with roots dating to 1967, when it was founded in Fort Worth by lesbigaytrans people of faith. The church combines worship with a longstanding commitment to dignity, welcome, and justice, describing itself as a liberal congregation centered on God’s unconditional love. As a local congregation of the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches, Agape MCC has sustained ministries within the church and in the wider community through partnerships that support celebration, justice, and the full inclusion of all people. Its history reflects both perseverance and continuity, including enduring early harassment and decades of pastoral leadership under Lead Pastor David Wynn, who was called in 2009 after serving as interim pastor beginning in 2008.
