Congregation Shearith Israel is an egalitarian Conservative synagogue in Intown Atlanta. Rooted in Conservative Judaism and committed to egalitarianism, the congregation fosters Jewish learning, spirituality, and community in a welcoming, intellectual, and casual atmosphere. Founded in Atlanta and established on University Drive in 1946 as the first synagogue in DeKalb County, it has a longstanding history in the Morningside, Virginia-Highland, and Emory area.
