As-Sabur Mosque is the oldest masjid in Las Vegas and a longstanding Islamic institution in Nevada, with roots dating to the early 1970s. Originally established as Masjid Muhammad and connected to the Nation of Islam, it transitioned to mainstream Islam in 1975 under the leadership of Imam Warith Deen Muhammad. Beyond worship, the mosque supports a broader community mission through Fajr al-Islam School, a community health clinic, and service committees including Al-Ma’un, also known as Neighborly Needs, reflecting an integrated commitment to faith, education, health, and mutual aid.
