Congregation Tzemach Tzedek is a synagogue in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, described as a warm, welcoming shul in the city’s cultural center. It identifies itself as the oldest continuously operating Nusach Ari congregation in America and is noted as the closest Chabad congregation to the hospitals. The congregation is led by Rabbi Mordechai Mendelson, an emissary of the Lubavitcher Rebbe to Cleveland Heights for over 40 years. Founded by Menachem Mendel Madorsky, the congregation has longstanding support from the Madorsky family, and longtime president Michael "Mickey" Hoen has served the congregation for more than 40 years. The synagogue also previously housed Cleveland’s kosher food and clothing bank before it relocated to South Euclid.
